Ongoing Outreach Projects
Special Projects
We have participated in many special outreach projects in the past, including:
- Giving school supplies and Christmas gifts to children and teenagers in custody of DeKalb County Family and Children's Services
- Collection food and money for Decatur Cooperative Ministry during Souper Bowl Sunday
- Creating flood buckets and health kits for victims of disasters
- Collecting bags of personal care items for DeKalb County Women's Resource Center, Trinity Men's Shelter, and the Breakthru House
- Donating baked goods for the Children's Home bake sales.
- Participating in the Wesley Walk for Others almost every year since it was started.
- Providing meals for families at the Ronald McDonald House.
- Making prayer blankets and cheer bags for shut-ins.
Special Monetary Offerings
- Mothers' and Fathers' Day offerings for Wesley Woods
- Gift to the Christ Child
- Children's Home offering
- Action Ministries offering
- Other offering taken by the conference each year, including special offerings for disaster relief
